Terms and Conditions

The Health Check is not a “vetting’; as such a certificate of veterinary examination cannot be provided without an actual Vetting being carried out. The liability of the Practice in completing these health checks is restricted to an external clinical examination and in the spirit in which these health checks are intended.

The following items are included (as per the relevant plan): Visit fee(s), clinical examination, annual Flu and biannual Tetanus vaccination boosters, teeth rasping (without sedation which is charged in addition if required), worm egg counts, veterinary advice, blood screen and interpretation (on the Gold and Silver Plans)

The following items are not included: Additional veterinary work or visits as a result of issues identified, additional medicines including sedation drugs if required. The initial vaccination course (although this can be carried out at a 20% discount if requested). Wormers are supplied at Internet prices (matching animeddirect. co.uk prices) if indicated by the worm egg count, the horses’ management or to remove tapeworms etc.

Visit arrangements: We will aim to contact you a couple of weeks or so prior to when your visit is due to arrange a mutually convenient appointment time. To enable us to keep the cost of the healthcare plan as low as practicable, we will aim to arrange visits by geographical area. We ask for your assistance in arranging these visits. As the Practice has to cover a large number of emergencies the time slot given may be quite long (eg. am or pm) although wherever possible we will try and give a shorter time slot. When the client cancels a visit within 48 hours, then the Practice reserves the right to charge a visit cancelation fee equal to the visit fee. Should we not have contacted you a week before the vaccination is due, then you have a responsibility to also contact the Equine Office to ensure that the vaccination is not missed,. It remains your responsibility to ensure that your horse / pony’s vaccinations are kept up to date.

Discounted price: As the cost of the Healthcare Plan provides a significant discount compared to each item individually priced, then further discounts cannot be applied, although you will be advised of other promotions for other services or products aimed at members of this Healthcare Plan. The cost of the plan covers a 12 month period and will be reviewed on an annual basis.

Payment method: The cost of the healthcare plan can be spread over 12 months. A Direct Debit is to be set up for these payments, using your name and client account number as reference.

Where a payment is defaulted on or you cease to being a Client of the practice, then the remainder of the cost due is payable within 7 working days. Further conditions may apply see reverse of Registration Form.
