What is the Healthy Pet Scheme?
It is not health insurance but complements it, by reducing the costs of routine veterinary care. We calculate the costs of a year’s flea and worm treatment, plus a booster, reduce the total by 10% and divide it into 12 monthly payments. You also get a FREE 6 month health check and 10% off all other treatments in the practice automatically. In addition you get up to 20% off many long term medicines. If you have 2 or more pets you will receive £1/month off your second and subsequent pets costs. Please call us if you'd like more information.

Cardiology and imaging clinics at Animed
Robin Peal BSc BVM&S CertVR CertVC MRCVS
Robin graduated from Edinburgh University in 1993 and joined Animed in 1996. He has a special interest in imaging, cardiac medicine and surgery. In 2000 he achieved the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Radiology, and more recently in 2011 the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology.
He currently cares for many of Animed’s cardiac patients, as well as seeing patients referred by other practices in the region. In January 2012, Robin started a scanning service, which operates from the hospital on 2 days per week. In addition to cardiac scanning, Robin also performs many abdominal scans, enabling him to diagnose internal disease processes in a non-invasive way.
Animed is equipped with digital radiography and MyLab40Vet ultrasound scanner, with in house laboratory. The practice is fortunate to have a superb dedicated nursing team and is able to provide 24 hour cover, which is specifically useful for hospitalising critical-care patients.
